RANDOM ASS HEADCANONS

Just some headcanons that I go by because Araki honestly leaves a lot up to imagination. Putting them here so I don't forget them.

♥ In canon, Josuke is demisexual with low general interest in pursuing sex or romance. He can acknowledge when a person is good-looking (whether they are male or female doesn't matter), but it's usually not enough to make him pursue anything further. I bend the rules a little bit in shipping memes or smut games.

♥ Though he appeared interested in hunting for girls with 'hot bodies' in the rat hunting arc, that was more a desire to bond with Jotaro in an activity typically thought to be 'cool' and 'manly' by young teenagers.

♥ Though he's friendly and easy-going, his delinquent-like looks and tendency to fly off the handle makes the guys in school dislike him. The fact that he's constantly followed around by cute girls doesn't help. It's a shame, because Josuke tends to get along better with other guys. He probably went through middle school with some acquaintances but no real close friends. Koichi and Okuyasu are the first people he can call his best friends.

♥ Josuke values pure love because he often saw the way his mother would cry when she thought of Joseph. That's not something Josuke wants to ever put someone through. The 'heart' motifs on his jacket and on Crazy Diamond are a reflection of how much he values pure and committed love (doesn't have to be romantic!). He wears a 'peace' badge as a homage to Prince and because he's a pacifist.

♥ Josuke is very inclined to comfort people when they cry. He's seen his mother cry a lot and it breaks his heart really.

♥ He's comfortable expressing more feminine traits like sensitivity and vanity. The only time he's concerned about looking 'manly' is when his personal honour is at stake.

♥ Jotaro is his first exposure to a cool, dependable and awesome 'hero type'. Jotaro also fills the role of the responsible 'dad figure' that's ... missing from Josuke's life -- at least, that's kind of what Josuke is projecting at him. He has a desire to bond with Jotaro on a personal level and not only for work, but opportunities are hard to come by. He would love to ring the guy up and talk about random stuff, but he doesn't feel like he's allowed to? Jotaro can be intimidating.

♥ Josuke generally does badly with ... high-intensity people. He's a laid back guy, so those personalities just clash with him. He gets anxious easily around them.

♥ Josuke works out for vanity. He's proud of his figure and wants to keep it looking good. Or maybe this is just me refusing to believe that a guy can have abs and ass from doing nothing ......

♥ Josuke wants a mobile phone so he can call Okuyasu and talk about random shit but his mom won't buy him one. In a game where characters get a free phone, he's likely to text his friends out of boredom.

♥ Though his relationship with Joseph has improved, their ships have kind of passed and there's no way he can truly see him as his 'dad'. He's more like a bumbling grandpa with occasional cool moments. Still, he really likes spending time with Joseph, taking care of him and holding his hand (!!!!).

♥ His mom and Okuyasu are the most important people in his life right now.

♥ Josuke is a smort boy but honestly not very motivated to perform academically. He spends most of his time goofing around, then probably panics, starts cramming a week before the exam and skates by through winging it. He averages at Bs with the occasional A.

♥ He doesn't know what he wants to do in the future and hasn't really thought about it. Teenagers know nothing. He is dedicated to protecting his town, however.

♥ Half the DiU cast hates him. This isn't even headcanon, just facts.
